ocean music: fan fiction for planet earth (2019)

Ocean Music is a musical collective created by multidisciplinary artist and healer Richard Aufrichtig. Born in the Hudson River Valley, schooled in New York City and Berlin, descendant of at least three European countries, student of theater, published poet, notable wanderer, and supposedly prolific, Aufrichtig leads a band of native Californians, bringing to life songs full of “cinematic grandeur” (Active Listener).

Critics have described Ocean Music as a “mellifluous and woozy … lo-fi troubadour” (Time Out New York), playing “beautifully atmospheric acoustic folk epics” (An Earful), and “traditional American songwriting with a modern instrumental sensibility … blurring the line between music, poetry, and theatre” (KCAW).

Little Bandits: Little Bandits (2018)

Little Bandits is a weekly music class for toddlers in Brooklyn and Queens, New York, created and led by Jeanna Phillips and Alex Thrailkill to introduce young children to the joy of creating music together.

Through songs, games, dances, collaborative noise-making, and only the tiniest amount of mischief, we teach that music is a joyous way to express yourself, build confidence, make friends, deepen family bonds, and explore the world around you.

Their debut album is written, performed, and produced by Alex Thrailkill and Jeanna Phillips. It was recorded and mixed by Ryan Dieringer at Welterweight Sound, New Paltz, NY, and Concrete Sound, Brooklyn, NY; and mastered by Chris Connors at Concrete Sound. Art and design are by Jay Owen Eisenberg and Alex Testere.

tica douglas: Our Lady Star Of The Sea, Help And Protect Us (2017)

Tica Douglas is a singer-songwriter from Portland, Maine now based in Queens.

Armed with words that are both elegiac and healing, a voice that swells with ethereal grit, and a mind concerned with new ways of meaning-making, Tica offers their perspective as a divinity scholar and queer non-binary person navigating the realms of life, love, and loss in their album, Our Lady Star Of The Sea, Help And Protect Us.

Alex contributes drums and trumpet to Our Lady... .
